50 I mean,50 years old. Are you kidding me I would even been to touch that.,yuc... Are any of them hot???
Hugh October 05, 2012 at 08:27 PM
In general, these are transients who are prostituting themselves to pay for a drug addiction. Have you ever seen a hot, transient drug addict?
Larry October 05, 2012 at 10:25 PM
50, yuc? You don't know what your missing, little boy. You couldn't handel 50 years old.
Larry October 05, 2012 at 10:30 PM
Nocco wants to get re-elected.
John Henry October 06, 2012 at 09:20 AM
Seems this sort of action always happens just before election time.

Thank you Sheriff for helping to clean up Pasco....you've got a lot of work to do.
Shelly October 06, 2012 at 01:40 PM

Thank you Sheriff Nocco!!!! So rarely do we get to see someone who is in a position that can have an impact on a community who actually does. You have been VERY busy in your short time holding the title as Sheriff. Keep up the great work!

"Another women's issue, prostitution. I do not understand why prostitution is illegal. Why should prostitution be illegal. Selling is legal. F-ing is legal. Why isn't selling f-ing legal? You know, why should it be illegal to sell something that's perfectly legal to give away. I can't follow the logic on that at all. Of all the things you can do to a person, giving someone an orgasm is hardly the worst thing in the world. In the army they give you a medal for spraying napalm on people. Civilian life, you go to jail for giving someone an orgasm. Maybe I'm not supposed to understand it."
uncle dave October 06, 2012 at 02:56 PM
there's a difference between a single mom getting money to feed her kid, and a down-and-outer trying to pay for drugs...
Hugh October 06, 2012 at 03:46 PM
I do not believe this prostitution sting was conducted so that Sheriff Nocco could grab some publicity going into an election. This story didn't make any of the local newscasts or appear in any of the local papers. There was not any "look at us" coming from the Pasco Sheriff's department. To my knowledge, this story is a Patch exclusive and I want to congratulate Alex on picking it up. With that being said, I have no idea why Sheriff Nocco or the New Port Richey police department did not publicize this sting. The word needs to get out that these activities are not going to be tolerated. Most of the people I know around here are sick and tired of the trash walking up and down 19 and would love to know that the powers that be are actually doing something about it.
Hugh October 06, 2012 at 04:25 PM
Uncle Dave, I am HIGHLY skeptical that any of these people were simply trying to feed their kids. Even if that happened to be the case with one of these arrests, it would certainly be the exception and not the rule. To suggest otherwise is irresponsible as it attempts to divert attention away from the real issue at hand. Sure, we have a poverty issue around here. However, the prostitution activity on 19 is a symptom of the illegal drug problem this area has.
Samuel Clemens October 06, 2012 at 05:04 PM
Hugh, what do you care if two consenting adults engage in sexual activity? Like George Carlin said in the quote I provided, "you go to jail for giving someone an orgasm." But hey, that's freedom in the good ole USA. Am I a fan of prostitution? No............but I do realize it's been going on, oh......since the beginning of time.........seriously, what do you care if a hummer is received in a Hummer? Have you ever spoken with any of the downtrodden walking our streets? I have and many of them are not drug users......sure, there are plenty who are, but doesn't this ring true with every profession?? Some of these woman you speak so lowly of used to work beside you and I, but thanks to the system we give consent to, they are now outcasts..................mere pieces of trash to you common folk.
Samuel Clemens October 06, 2012 at 05:10 PM
As usual, society always wants to treat the symptoms and not the causes of the problems. The pharmaceutical companies and their drug dealing MD's are the real criminals. I want a Sheriff who will do something about this: www.naturalnews.com/036417_Glaxo_Merck_fraud.html Our family, neighbors, coworkers, acquaintances are all victims of this neverending fraud perpetrated upon the American public. A real investigation could be opened and local Doctors could be prosecuted if we had real law enforcement protecting the people. You can arrest ever prostitute, every John, every pill pusher and pill popper, but until the root problem is tackled, you are simply political theatre in my eyes. Why do atrocities involving "elite people" never end with arrests and convictions?? And nobody seems to care? But people who have been victimized, well let's arrest them left and right..........and the masses applaud?? What a twisted, flipped upside down, turned inside out world people prefer.
Hugh October 07, 2012 at 03:08 PM
Samuel, I am more interested in having a discussion on how we can clean up 19 and make New Port Richey a safe place to live and do business. Yes, I share some of your sentiments but lets not get crazy here. It does not do the city any good to have people begging for money at every major intersection and prostitutes parading up and down the streets at all hours of the day. Thus we have laws in place to curb this activity. Also, I sure wouldn't accuse the Pasco County Sheriff's of turning a blind eye to "the pharmaceutical companies and their drug dealing MD's". There were some laws placed on the books that have allowed them to shut down numerous "pill mills", arrest doctors, and arrest those providing false information to doctors. While this has hardly freed us from the plague of Oxi addicts, I believe we have taken some major steps in the right direction.

LOL, so stupid.....prostitution should be regulated and controlled because it will never be stopped. But, as usual....effective methods which have working models available for review across the globe fail to gain attention here in the US of A. Thank you, for doing absolutely nothing.....there will STILL be prostitutes on 19. You arrested them and within 1 week almost all will be back on the street. Congrats on fooling these poor citizens into actually believing arresting people is solving anything. Legalize and regulate prostitution. You will make money to cut deficits while also removing the pimps from the picture. If you do that, 3/4 of these women can make decent money and not have to turn to drugs and street life. You will also curtail the spread of STD's.
adam walling October 08, 2012 at 05:57 AM
OR....arrest them. Keep them in a cell with other "positive role models" for a week or up to a month for a misdemeanor. Cost all of us taxpayers money....the cost of each inmate will be well over $2000 by the end of their stay in prison. Then, release them with no rehabilitation. And now, they will have an ever HARDER time finding legit. jobs with their new found record. Anybody fail to see the problem with this cycle? Legalize and regulate. You protect the women and you protect the public by removing the criminal element from the equation IE: the pimps who like to keep these women dependent on drugs.
JustMe October 09, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Everyone seems to forget that without people in Hummers looking for hummers; there would be no prostitutes.
Hugh October 09, 2012 at 02:15 PM
And while that sounds cute, the clientele these transient prostitutes attract to our town are not driving hummers.
Samuel Clemens October 09, 2012 at 03:24 PM
Sorry, Hugh, the pills mills are no different than your local MD in my world. People have been popping pills, all over the country, prior to the creation of these mills. The problem originates with those creating and manufacturing the deadly concoctions. Just look at the freaking statistics......THESE PHARMACEUTICALS ARE KILLING PEOPLE EVERY SINGLE DAY IN OUR AREA.....and they are enslaving the "good" people too. My mother-in-law....from a "well-to-do" household became addicted for..oh..10 years. She became a drug addict...her pusher was her MD, the pimp was the Pharmaceutical reps and we all know who the dealer is. Adam gets it. The rest of you do not.....they can arrest every single Solicitor and Solicitee....and it doesn't matter, more will pop up to replace them.....just as they can arrest every pill pusher/popper...more are out there. The root problem must be tackled. Like Adam said, people are arrested for these crimes that lack victims.........go to jail...and then when they exit, people like those commenting here, could care less about them..get a job, scum. You know what I cannot stand seeing on the streets is those who are nearly homeless, hocking propaganda for the Times and Tribune. I love how the corporations can still make their $$$ via the street corners, but the people..those who actually need the fund$..well piss off. Hugh, those receiving the hummers are your friends and neighbors, they aren't traveling here for the ladies.
adam walling October 09, 2012 at 10:05 PM
YEA!!! Everybody knows only Po' folk pick up hookers for a BJ. People who drive hummers are classy, and sophisticated. Way beyond something like picking up a hooker.
Hugh October 09, 2012 at 11:30 PM
OK I get it, you are trolling. Generally speaking, the guys driving hummers are down the street in Bare Assets. They aren't messing with the transient trash walking up and down 19.
PATRICIA FALKMAN October 11, 2012 at 06:16 PM
What happens on 19 affects all residents. My son wants to buy a home to be near me. He saw 19 no better than it was last time he visited. He is buying further south. This is considered the "slums". The rest of my children think I am in danger and want me to move to a safer area. I live a block off of 19. I want a town that I can feel proud of and safe. Yes, there are many homeless. I am sorry about that. I don't have any answers that do not require people to work for any help received. How many people at the "soup kitchen" volunteer to work for their food? How many people in the line outside are smoking cigarettes? I saw $50 a carton. That would go a long way at Aldi's. For those who go back to the "you are hurting mothers and their children" arguments. Moms and their children are to be cherished and helped. We should do all we can to help the moms keep their jobs and take of the kids too.
Hugh October 11, 2012 at 06:29 PM
I agree whole heartedly with Patricia's assertion that this is not a victimless crime these prostitutes are committing. Having this activity going on is good or bad for a geographical area's reputation? Does reputation effect property values? Are you more or less likely to open a business in a high crime area? The worst part about this particular sting is that most of the arrests occurred near the river. The river is one of the greatest assets New Port Richey has and it is a hangout for prostitutes and drug addicts. Then we have to sit here and listen to how THESE people are the real victims?

I hope the Pasco County Sheriff's Dept gets everyone of these skanky tramps and disease spreading druggies off the streets and they do real time for the problems they cause their families. They have taken advantage of my brother and robbed him of all his money. He lost his job and his home because one of them was smart enough to see that my brother a much older man is vulnerable and has disabilities. My brother actually thought she was in love with him.She robbed all his money from his checking account and then encouraged him to steal from his job!. By the way she uses, buys and sells illegal drugs.Watch out all you guys who think it will be just fine to get your end wet. You'll end up with a dry checking account. She's now getting her payback. I turned her smelly , lying, thieving, drug addicted ass in to the PCSD and it's payback time girlfriend. Bring it on. Men that think they're just getting an orgasm are fools. They're getting much more than that. Trash should be left at the curb and taken away, Otherwise the neighborhood starts to STINK.
Samuel Clemens November 30, 2012 at 03:19 AM
Joyce, I'm curious......where were you when this was "being done" to your brother?
Joyce Romine November 30, 2012 at 12:39 PM
I live in New Jersey and I am the owner of several businesses. When I found out I offered him my home and a new job here in Nj. The people in New Port Richey really need to clean up that area of undesirables and crime. They owe it to themselves and their children to be able to live in a safe community regardless. The unemployed will not find work walking the streets and sitting their all day with signs. Their are many avenues of help down there including the churches.
rashan January 23, 2013 at 06:05 PM
i know one of the girls that was caught in that sting and she still keeps going out there and doing drugs and having sex ...the punishment is to easy there out of jail to quick...there hardly any good women out there and there will be less if the they dont feel like there really paying for a crime.
Lil Miss Hello kitten March 07, 2013 at 05:26 PM
i totally understand your logic, I too think this is a free country although the sole purpose of this prostitution deal is to prevent STD's including AIDS from spreading. These women dont have a care in the world, some share needles some dont use protection. The only place in the country where prostitution is legal is in NEVADA at the Bunny Ranch and those women are required to get tested weekly! But I guess theres really no difference than a guy going to a bar meeting a HOE whos been around the block a few times! LOL..
Brandon May 31, 2013 at 11:29 AM
For the idiots that think prostitution should be leagal I wonder if you ever stop to think that the women are moms with kids and she is addicted to drugs? The kids have a ruff life with the mom on drugs and bringing all different types of guys home to her bed or the fact that some of them are spreading fatal desieases? So there is a reason it's illegal and I for one would never pick up a hooker.
