Arbor Day Ceremony Planned for Tomorrow

Four new trees will be planted on Orange Lake.

New Port Richey is once again readying to celebrate Arbor Day. 

Annually, Genesis School students and city officials gather for a public ceremony celebrating the national holiday.

At 10 a.m. on Friday, students, Mayor Bob Consalvo, city staff and New Port Richey’s citizen Environmental Advisory Committee will once again meet at Orange Lake to celebrate Arbor Day.

Kids will be assisting with the planting of four trees at Orange Lake, and will give a presentation. Public officials will  also speak in a program .

The event begins  at 10 a.m. tomorrow Jan. 18, at Orange Lake, which is on Circle Blvd., nears Sims Park.
