When Do West Pasco Schools Close for the Holidays?

Pasco schools will close at the end of this week, just before Christmas.

West Pasco students itching to put up their books for winter break don’t have too much longer to wait.

Pasco County Public Schools officially lock up for the holidays after the last bell Friday, Dec. 21. The winter break runs from Monday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 4, according to the district’s calendar. Don’t try to send those kids back to class on Monday, Jan. 7, however. That day has been deemed a teacher planning day in advance of report cards going out on Jan. 14, 2013.

Pasco kids get to hit the books again Jan. 8, but they won’t have classes long before another holiday crops up. Monday, Jan. 21 is the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
