The moment I step into Maharlika Oriental Store, it is like being transported right back to the Philippines with all the surprising finds which I did not expect in a US-based Filipino store. From Magic Sarap to Pampanga longganisa, from up-to-date Tagalog DVD movies to phone cards, from balikbayan cargo boxes to sending remittance (money transfers), this store is all I need to stay in touch with my roots and connect with relatives back home. The managers and staff are courteous and ever-helpful in making sure you get the stuff you need at reasonable rates....and in Tagalog language! It's like a home away from home :-)
