Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies are warning New Port Richey residents to be on the lookout for a man they say has committed multiple robberies and is considered armed and dangerous.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a many they say might be connected to at least five robberies in the last month. Henry Sizemore, 32, is a homeless man who is known to hang out in the area around State Road 54 and Rowan Road, a sheriff’s office media release said. He is wanted in connection with multiple robberies that took place between April 29 and May 14. Some of those robberies include: Sizemore is also wanted in connection with a purse snatching and has an active warrant out for his arrest for violation of probation. Anyone who sees Sizemore is asked to call 911 “as he is possibly armed with a handgun,” the release said. The merger could lead to improved services.
It looks like New Port Richey City Council members like the sound of an idea that would put an end to city-run 911 dispatch services. The majority of council members made it clear during a workshop session with representatives from the Pasco County government and the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Tuesday that they want to move toward merging the city’s dispatch services with the county’s. The merger could cost New Port Richey $36,166 in its first year, but the city could realize $90,283 annually in cost savings each subsequent year. The city would lose its ability to perform independent dispatch services under the merger. Pasco would offer the police department’s full-time staff jobs with no loss of salary or seniority. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi got a first a firsthand look Tuesday at the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office's efforts to stop the sale of synthetic drugs. Bondi joined deputies on one of three raids of stores accused of selling synthetic drugs in West Pasco. When deputies arrived at the Mobil convenience store, 7011 Massachusetts Ave. in New Port Richey, on Tuesday morning, Bondi followed them inside. The Mobil was one of several stores in West Pasco where deputies had made made undercover purchases of synthetic drugs this year. Those purchases enabled them to get search warrants. Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies raided three stores suspected of selling synthetic drugs on Tuesday, May 14. Deputies had made undercover purchases of synthetic drugs from the three stores in West Pasco between late January and May. Those purchases enabled them to get search warrants. Armed with warrants, deputies returned to those three store Tuesday to conduct searches and make arrests as part of Operation Consequences. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi joined them for one of the busts. The following stores were searched: Bondi came along for the bust at the Mobil on Massachusetts Avenue. A boy grew upset over being called a name and pushed a stack of chairs onto a teacher.
A 14-year-old boy who attends Paul R. Smith Middle School was arrested Friday and accused of throwing a fit that resulted in a stack of chairs falling on a teacher. The boy became upset on Friday after his ex-girlfriend called him a “player,” according to an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He then overturned his desk in a classroom and threw a chair at a classroom closet. A teacher ordered him out of the room. On his way out, he called her an obscenity and pushed over a stack of chairs. The stack fell on the teacher. The boy later told a deputy he meant to push the stack over but not for it to fall on the teacher. The teacher suffered bruising to the left knee and hip. The boy, whose name is being withheld by …
Carney McAllister was registered as a sex offender in Ohio but not Florida, deputies say.
A Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy discovered on Friday that a man who worked as a deejay at Foxy strip club at 4233 U.S. 19 in unincorporated New Port Richey had an Ohio warrant out on him. He also discovered the man, named Carney McAllister, was registered as a sex offender in Ohio but not in Florida, according to an incident report. His offense is listed in the Ohio Attorney General's registry as "unlawful sexual conduct with a minor." McAllister, 30 and homeless, was arrested by the Pasco deputy May 10 and charged with being a fugitive from justice and for failure to register as a sexual predator. Jamie Hayes was arrested in connection with a case where man with a semi-automatic handgun forced his way into a house, deputies say.
Jamie Danielle Hayes agreed to drive a man in possession of a semi-automatic handgun to a Port Richey home on Wednesday, according to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. At the house, Hayes, 36, knocked on the door. As a man inside opened it, the man with the handgun forced his way in. The man who had answered the door was threatened at gunpoint. The gun was shoved in his face with the barrel pointing at the left cheek. He threatened to call the police, and the man who broke in threatened to “cap him.” The arrest report says Hayes conspired to break into the home and demanded prescription pills from its occupants. New Port Richey Police are looking for help to identify a man they say entered a home last Friday and shot a man inside twice in the "rear end area." The shooting took place around 1:30 a.m. May 2. Police say a man entered the home, shot a man inside twice and then left. Detective Sgt. Mike Anderson said it appears the shooter used a 9mm handgun. The victim, whose name isn't being released by authorities, was treated at a local hospital. He was later released. No other details in the case are available at this time. Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help to find a woman they say has five warrants out for her arrest.

GPS on the units and (maybe) IT support from the County would go a long way as the city's staff can't seem to get it done. Still can't believe our officers somehow don't have GPS on their vehicles. Not sure how a basic requirement for so many other departments has been waylaid up until 2013. I'd hope this would also promote better cooperation and more "playing nice" between the County and NPR …   more ›
