Part of Road Near Anclote Elementary School Reopens

Pasco County performed work on the road after it was closed

Update: 11:26 a.m. Part of the road affected by the sinkhole has reopened, said Pasco County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Kevin Doll. He did not have info on which part was reopened. Original (8:37 a.m.) Motorists who travel near Anclote Elementary School may want to reroute this morning unless they have no other choice. According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, a 3-foot-by-4-foot sinkhole has opened up on Madison and Moog. Deputies have closed the road until repairs can be made. Former Cotee Elementary Principal Set to Take Over at Anclote Elementary

Barbara Kleinsorge, who took a leave of absence to care for her father, will replace retiring Anclote Principal Carole Baird.

After more than eight years at Cotee River Elementary School, Barbara Kleinsorge is set to become principal of Anclote Elementary School next month. Superintendent Heather Fiorentino will recommend that the School Board appoint Kleinsorge at the Dec. 20 meeting. Kleinsorge took a leave of absence from her post at Cotee Elementary to care for her terminally ill father in Largo. He died on Thanksgiving Day, she said. Kleinsorge will replace Carole Baird who is retiring as principal of Anclote Elementary. Lou Cerreta replaced Kleinsorge as principal at Cotee. A veteran educator, Kleinsorge will take over Anclote Elementary on Jan. 9 if the school board approves the appointment. “I’m ready to get back and meet all the students and the teachers…
