Man's Hospital Trip Takes 5 Hours, Ends in Arrest
The New Port Richey man originally called deputies to report a battery and wound up wanting a trip to the hospital.
Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies got more than they bargained for when they responded to a report of a battery at a New Port Richey address yesterday. When they arrived, the man who placed the call into 911 told them they were late and should get off his property. After hearing a stream of profanities, the deputies obliged. The man, a Pasco County complaint affidavit says, then called 911 to complain about the deputies. He also told dispatchers he needed assistance to get to the hospital and wanted Pasco County Fire Rescue to come out.
