Update: Shananigans is the best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, according to New Port Richey Patch readers. This established earned 91 of the 133 votes cast in this week’s poll, handily beating second-place winner Malone’s Irish Pub. *** St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and lots of people like to get out and celebrate the occasion. The New Port Richey area is fortunate to have plenty of great local places that are more than ready to oblige. Update: New Port Richey Patch readers have spoken: The Starkey Wilderness Area is the hands-down favorite with 24 out of 62 votes. Sims Park came in second with 13 votes and Robert K. Reese Memorial Park garnered 11 to earn third-place honors. *** Florida is blessed with lots of bright sunny days that can make it feel sinful to stay indoors.
