Farmers Market event in downtown New Port Richey will now be held every week.
The Fresh Friday Farmers Market event, produced by Greater New Port Richey Main Street, returns this week, and it will now be held weekly each Friday through April 26. The farmers market event is located in Railroad Square in New Port Richey, one block east of Grand Blvd on Nebraska Avenue, and Cavalaire Square, one block East of Grand Blvd between Nebraska & Missouri Avenues. The market features several vendors. Products offered include plants, produce, jellies, jams, baked goods and crafts. Want to check out the market? Johnathan Martin and Vincent Cerbini have left home-based businesses behind to open a storefront on Main Street.
Before he sold saltwater fish out of a storefront in New Port Richey, Johnathan Martin sold them out of his home’s garage. Martin lives in Odessa with his wife, Jennifer, and 2-year-old son, Jayden. He’s kept fish as pets of his own since he was 12. Late last year, he basically used the garage as a pet fish store. Now, his supply of tanks and equipment line the shelves in 5840 Main St. Wrasse, tangs and clownfish and other creatures swim in the tanks. Martin’s business, Exquisite Aquatics, celebrated its grand opening on Main Street on Jan. 28. It shares space with Elite Corals and Aquaculture, which is owned by Vincent Cerbini of Spring Hill.
