Volunteers Can Help Clean Up Pasco Environment
Team members are being sought to continue the county's commitment to Keeop Pasco Beautiful.
Your chance to clean up New Port Richey and surrounding Pasco County is approaching. September 15th is the 27th annual International Coastal Cleanup, which Pasco has takes part in. During the international coastal cleanup, thousands of volunteers around the globe pick up trash from beaches, lakes and rivers, as well as inland areas. Over the past 26 years, more than 9 million volunteers globally have removed 153 million pounds of trash from more than 312,000 miles of coastline and waterways in 153 countries and locations, according to a press release. Volunteers are being sought to continue Pasco's commitment to the event. Last year, 1,283 volunteers in Pasco picked up 11.92 tons of trash. So far, there are 17 teams in Pasco County that …
