Calusa Elementary and Two Men and a Truck are teaming up to give women being housed at Sunrise Domestic Violence Shelter something to celebrate.

In recognition of Mother’s Day, the students are collecting donations of items they can put in gift baskets for mothers being housed at Sunrise Domestic Violence Shelter. The shelter provides a safe place for domestic violence victims to go. It serves all of Pasco County with its crisis housing, hot line, counseling programs and other services. The drop-off point is at Calusa Elementary, 7520 Orchid Lake Road. The deadline to bring drop-offs to the schools is Thursday, May 8. Your Mother's Day Gift Can Help a Toddler with Cerebral Palsy

Vendors are celebrating moms by helping the raise money the West Pasco girl needs for therapy to walk at an event in Dunedin.

A fundraiser on Sunday in Dunedin  seeks to at least get her parents, who live wth her in the unincorporated New Port Richey area, some of the financial support they need to see Kiley through their dream of her walking. Kiley could have spent much of her life in a wheel chair if not for winning a $10,000 Internet cash prize in the Upromise Dream Wall sweepstakes last year.
