New Port Richey Patch is recruiting bloggers with a variety of interests to tell the community’s story through their own observations.
Have a passion for the local arts scene? Perhaps you’re a parent who’s a whiz at finding things for the little ones to do? Maybe you’re plugged into the local political arena and want to share your opinions about what’s going on? If so, we want your voice on our site. Yes, yours. New Port Richey Patch is seeking bloggers who can share their views on a particular issue, while having their personalities shine through. Need a way to let the community know about an upcoming event? New Port Richey Patch is here to help!
Would you like to post events to New Port Richey Patch? Keep this article handy each time there is something you'd like to share with our community. To post events to the site for free: navigate to the Events page and click “Add an Event” on the right side of the page. Tell us all the details about your upcoming event, then click “post my event” at the bottom of the page. That puts the event directly on our calendar. The end result is the same as if a Patch staffer had posted it for you. The only difference is, when you post it, it goes up right away. From Bloomingdale to Westchase, bloggers from the 23 Patch sites in Tampa Bay are responding with their own local voices.
When the tragic shooting occurred in Newtown, Conn., the conversation across the country began about school safety, gun control and mental health care. Some of the most vocal advocates in all of Tampa Bay took to blogs right here on Patch to share their opinions.
