The Tampa Bay Times reports that President Barack Obama won the electoral vote in Florida.
Florida finally has a winner in the race for president. The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that President Barack Obama won all 29 electoral votes in the state of Florida. According to the Tampa Bay Times, Obama had 50.01 percent of the vote in Florida to Gov. Mitt Romney's 49.13 percent. According to the Florida Department of Sttate, Obama collected 4,236,032 votes to Romney's 4,162,174.

The president will drive to gain an edge on GOP hopeful Mitt Romney, as the two are just about even in Florida poll.
President Obama will campaign Thursday and Friday in Florida, where polls show he is in a dead heat race with Republican challenger Mitt Romney, who will get a huge in-state stage for a few days next month at the Tampa GOP convention. Obama will mostly be talking about the economy, reminding Floridians – as Gov. Rick Scott has been doing – that things are looking up and jobs are returning. Obama also will likely talk about the Bush-era tax cuts, which he is proposing to keep in place for most Americans. Obama will stump in battleground areas: Jacksonville on Thursday morning and West Palm Beach on Thursday evening.
