Pharmboy Creator Marketing Film

Lawrence Feeney is looking for folks interested in picking up his film Pharmboy, an he's released a trailer.

Trinity resident Lawrence Feeney filmed a movie called Pharmboy in Pasco County last year and showed it to the public. Now, he has released a trailer of the film, which tells the tale of a boy born addicted to prescription. We want to see what you think of it. He posted to Vimeo and you can find it on its Vimeo page. Feeney, president of Pasco Films, is an independent filmmaker, and he wrote, cast, produced and directed the film himself and also got some producers to help fund it. He also received a county grant. In addition, he took to “crowdfunding” platform Indiegogo to raise money for the film and raised more than $3,000 for the project. Locally Created Film Tells a Pasco Story

Lawrence Feeney created "Pharmboy" with the help of the community. Now the community has a chance to see it.

Lawrence Feeney wrapped production this month on a film shot in Pasco County. Now, he’s preparing to show it to the public. Feeney, who makes films independently, is premiering "Pharmboy" next week. The film tells a fictional tale about a very real issue in Pasco County. It is the story of Gunner, a 16-year-old who is born addicted to prescription pills. The movie premieres at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 at Regal Hollywood 8 in Port Richey. Feeney’s production company is called Pasco Films, and he runs it with his wife. He lives in Trinity and has made several short films in the past. Independent Filmmaker Aims to Help New Port Richey Community

Lawrence Feeney is raising money online to make a film. Half the films's profits would be donated to civic groups in the New Port Richey area.

Lawrence Feeney wants to make a movie. He also wants that movie to benefit the New Port Richey community.  Feeney lives in Trinity and is an independent filmmaker. He produces, writes and directs film and does so under the brand name Pasco Films. Now, he is using an online tool to try to drum up funding to make a movie filmed in New Port Richey and other parts of Pasco County. He is pledging to donate half the profits to local civic organizations that serve New Port Richey.   He is trying to raise $36,000 to cover the costs of making a feature film.
