Congrats to Facebook Photo Contest Winner

Christy Johnson submitted this awesome shot of birds at Orange Lake.

We asked Patch readers to offer up their best photos as candidates for the New Port Richey Patch Facebook fan page cover image, and we received some stunning submissions. After browsing nearly 50 photos, we ended up choosing as our cover this beautiful picture of ibises at Orange Lake in downtown New Port Richey submitted by Christy Johnson. She shot it this past May. “The ibises were particularly photogenic that day,” she said. The photo will be our cover photo the remainder of the month. Congratulations, Christy.
