Pedestrian Dies Following Crash in Holiday
An 89-year-old Holiday man died Feb. 23 after being struck by a car on Perrine Ranch Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left one man dead Feb. 23. Enrique Rodriguez Ortiz, 89, of Holiday was attempting to walk northbound across Perrine Ranch Road, just east of Olde Farm Road, around 6:50 p.m. last night, Feb. 23, when the accident occurred, a highway patrol media release said. Ortiz, the release said, crossed into the path of a 2002 Saturn driven by Gladys Devos, 89, also of Holiday, and was struck by the car. Ortiz died at the scene, the release said. Devos was uninjured.
