Man in Fire Bombing Had Ties to Store That Sold 'Spice'

Yasser Ahmed Hussin Elkalazani and Robert Bennett have been charged in connection to the fire bombing of Holiday store.

Two men have been arrested in connection to the fire bombing of a Holiday  business.

The #1 Best Price store at 3420 Grand Blvd. was "fire bombed” on June 8, according to an arrest report from to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation led deputies to Robert Bennett, 25, and Yasser Ahmed Hussin Elkalazani, 42, who has been identified in the past as a co-owner of Food Land Mini Mart in Holiday, which came under investigation this year for the sale of "spice" or synthetic drugs.

Deputies learned Elkalazani was angry at the #1 Best Price owners and broke a store window to assist with delivery of the bomb, according to the report.  The Molotov cocktail was thrown into the store.

Bennett, whose address is unknown, and Elkalazani of Odessa were each arrested July 30 and charged with arson and possession of a firebomb.

Bennet remained in jail July 31. Elkalazani has been bonded out.
